UNRWA: Profunda angústia sobre refugiados palestinos mortos na Síria.
Fillipo Grandi, comissãrio geral da UNRWA, a agência das Nações Unidas para os Refugiados Palestinos, declarou-se "profundamente angustiado" pelos refugiados palestinos feridos e mortos na Síria.

Yarmouk tem sido até hoje a região da Síria onde considera-se o maior reduto de refugiados palestinos. Lá é onde pelo menos 1/3 dos refugiados se encontram.
A UNRWA exorta pela "santidade da vida humana" conforme tem sido previsto no direito internacional, com a intenção de preservar a "segurança e a dignidade de todos", no esforço de garantir que a vida dos civis seja preservada.

O secretário geral Fillipo Grandi alerta para a situação dos refugiados palestinos na Síria, referindo-se a este e outros acontecimentos anteriores, como um "lembrete de que os refugiados continuam vulneráveis e expostos a riscos em toda a região", destacando:
"A necessidade de que a comunidade internacional redobre os seus esforços para alcançar os refugiados por uma solução justa e duradoura, baseada nas resoluções da ONU e do direito internacional."

Conselho de Segurança
Através da publicação da ONU do Brasil, foi possível ter a informação de que novo projeto de resolução do Conselho de Segurança da ONU com respeito ao massacre contínuo de civis na Síria foi entregue ontem e está agora aguardando para ser discutido nestes dias.

A Alta Comissária das Nações Unidas para os Direitos Humanos, Navi Pillay voltou a condenar as mortes, prisões e torturas de civis, liderados pelo governo do país. Ela avisou que até agora o governo da Síria não se manifestou à favor nem contra a visita da missão investigativa sobre as denúncias de violações dos direitos humanos no país.
Segundo a ONU do Brasil "A Alta Comissária lembrou também aos países vizinhos que nenhum sírio deve ser enviado de volta ao país contra a sua vontade, levando em conta a atual situação dos direitos humanos, e pediu aos Estados que mantenham as suas fronteiras abertas para refugiados deste país."
Al-Karim: Syria is doing the "reforms quickly and everything is back to normal"
